Director of Client and Technical Support for Midwest Markets
The Opportunity
ZE PowerGroup Inc., developers of the award winning ZEMA Data Management and Analysis Suite, is actively seeking an experienced professional to act as their Director of Client and Technical Support for Midwest Markets operating out of the Houston or Austin area to support their expanding customer base.
This exciting role entails a combination of Account Management duties that can include supporting existing clients, assisting or performing on-site installations, providing product feature feedback and enhancements, data source development, maintaining data vendor relationships, and training of clients. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of business and technical issues around energy trading and risk management systems. The candidate will be one of the primary points of contact for ZE's existing and future clients and will act as a liaison between those clients and the ZEMA Head Office located in Vancouver, BC.
The Director of Client and Technical Support will work closely with our Sales Director of North American Markets to play a critical role in supporting ZE's current and future clients in the Midwest energy market, helping to enhance ZE PowerGroup's reputation and market share.

Responsibilities
- Manage client and vendor relationships and technical needs
- Perform scoping assignments for data requirements of the market
- Collaborate with client’s technical managers and business users to comprehend, analyze and document needs and issues
- Provide appropriate input to ZEMA development team around operational issues and planning & scheduling
- Good understanding of performance issues/solutions with ZEMA product implementation
- Perform ZEMA installation support and product training as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years work experience within energy trading and risk management
- Strong understanding of the Midwest energy trading business
- Strong understanding of systems and overall solution architecture
- Excellent technical and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral, essential.
- Self-motivated, strong bottom-line and techno-functional leadership, essential.
- Ability to take ownership of activities and the tenacity to ensure successful completion.
- Willing to travel where necessary
